Democrats hosting education forum


Indiana State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jennifer McCormick will be the featured speaker for a forum on public education at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the lecture hall of the Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing Building on the campus of Vincennes University Jasper. The doors will open at 6 p.m. The program is being presented by the Dubois County Democrat Party.

This non-partisan event will focus on the state of education in Indiana, with an explanation of state funding and how it affects all schools in the state, including Dubois County.

McCormick is Indiana’s 44th superintendent of public instruction. A nationally recognized educator and innovator, she has served at every level of the K-12 education system. As Indiana’s education system leader, McCormick is an energetic and tireless advocate for children, dedicated to improving educational outcomes. She serves as a devoted ambassador for ensuring all stakeholders are working together for student success in Indiana.
