Deer-vs-SUV collision damages Terrain

HILLHAM — A Jasper motorist was able to drive from the scene of an SUV-versus-deer collision Saturday evening west of Hillham.
Trevon A. Todd, 33, Jasper, was westbound on State Road 56 in a 2011 GMC Terrain when the 7:29 p.m. accident occurred 300 feet west of Hillham Road Northwest, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Todd’s GMC collided with a deer that entered onto the highway from the south as he approached a curve.
Damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
