FERDINAND — No wrecker was needed when a deer plowed into a heavy duty pickup truck and trailer Saturday evening along I-64.
Kiffani H. Michel, 38, Cannelton, was eastbound on I-64 in a 2008 Ford truck pulling a trailer when the 7:32 p.m. accident occurred near the 62 mile marker, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said a deer entered onto the eastbound lanes from the north and struck the driver-side rear of the truck and the trailer, with additional damage sustained to the undercarriage of the trailer.
Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
The deputy was unable to locate the deer.
