Deer strikes car east of Jasper

JASPER — A Vigo County woman was able to drive away from the scene of a Saturday evening collision with a deer along a county road east of Jasper.
Kisandra L. Williams, 27, Terre Haute, was eastbound on Jasper-Dubois Road in a 2012 Toyota Camry when the 7:11 p.m. accident occurred just east of County Road 175E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said a deer entered the roadway from the north and ran into the front, driver-side wheelwell of the Williams Toyota.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
