ST. ANTHONY — A wrecker was needed after an SUV collided with a deer Sunday night along a county road north of St. Anthony.
Robert J. Spurling, 20, Tell City, was northbound on Santine Road in a 2003 Jeep Liberty when the 8:07 p.m. accident occurred 600 feet south of County Road 400S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Spurling’s SUV collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the west.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
