Deaconess confirms first positve COVID-19 case

EVANSVILLE — Deaconess is confirming its first positive COVID-19 test result.
The patient was sent for curbside testing at Deaconess Midtown from one of the health system's outpatient facilities in Henderson, Kentucky.
The patient has been contacted, and is doing well on home quarantine, according to a press release from Deaconess.
The health system also reports receiving several negative results in the past 12 hours.
Both Indiana and Kentucky health departments have been notified.
