David William Sollman, 79, of Velpen, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born June 14, 1940, in Holland to Emil and Hilda (Nuhring) Sollman and married Loretta Ann Jones on February 16, 1963, in Holland.
David worked as a carpenter and farmer.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Jasper and the Carpenters Union Local #90.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Ann Sollman, on October 8, 2010; his parents; and two siblings, Paul Sollman and Ruby Messmer.
He is survived by three children, Debbie (Michael) Lemond of Otwell, Mark (Connie) Sollman of Velpen and Sherry Sollman of Jasper; and four grandchildren, Michael Scott Lemond, Calub Lemond, Bryan Lemond and Brett David Sollman.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Pleasant Grove/Spraggins Cemetery near Velpen. Pastor Craig Line will officiate at the service.
Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the arrangements.
