David Lee Davis, Bloomington, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.
David was born on November 21, 1954, in New Albany to Dennis and Dee Davis.
David received his associate’s degree in business management from Vincennes University which aided his excellent skill at selling for Costa-Grissom for over 13 years and Lowes for seven years. He never met a stranger and could sell anyone anything.
He collected coins, prioritized his family, loved wine, and enjoyed flying, learning to pilot a small plane himself.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Traylor Davis, Bloomington; his daughter, Emily Cooper, Ellettsville; his son, Mark (Renee) Cooper, Bloomington; his mother, Doreatha “Dee” Davis, Jasper; his sisters, Joni (Bob) Galletly, Tequesta, Florida, and Kim McGill, Aguas Calientes, Mexico; his brothers, Joe Davis, Evansville, Phil Davis, Suffolk, Virginia, Vincent (Denise) Davis, Austin, Texas, and James Davis, Jasper; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his son, Brandon Davis; his father Dennis Davis; and his brother, Neil Davis.
Funeral services will be held at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Bloomington on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Visitation will be at noon followed by services at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Marks UMC.
