HUNTINGBURG — Total damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000 when three vehicles collided Monday morning north of Huntingburg.
Marvin A. Martinez Herrera, 30, North Lake, Illinois, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2012 Nissan Maxima when the 11:45 a.m. accident occurred south of WITZ Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Martinez Herrera stopped for traffic in the northbound lane and, when he did, his car was rear-ended by a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Corina L. Cerna, 38, Huntingburg.
The impact sent the Martinez Herrera Nissan into the rear of a 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan driven by Paul J. Voegerl, 61, Jasper.
Police report Cerna was checked for a complaint of chest pain.
A Uebelhor & Sons wrecker and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
