Daisy Mae Canady, 75, Loogootee, died at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at her home.
She was born at Odon on April 2, 1938, to Alvin O. and Dovie (Franklin) Harper. She married Clarence Canady Jr. on July 4, 1957.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence Canady Jr.; two sons, Clarence R. Canady of Columbus and Kelvin Canady and wife Patricia of Loogootee; four brothers, Rex Harper of Gary, Bill Harper of Bedford and John and Charles Harper of Bloomington; seven sisters, Leveda Clark of Washington, Janice Ridenbark of Bloomington, Violet Cox of Odon, Ruth Bateman of Loogootee, Diane Bugher and Sharon Wright of Sandborn and Brenda Bays of Evansville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Noblitt, and a brother, Bruce Harper.
Mrs. Canady was a 1956 graduate of Odon High School and was retired from Kimball Electronics in Jasper. She enjoyed traveling, playing video games and reading.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will be in Kilgore Cemetery in Odon.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
