HUNTINGBURG — Current Blend has hired Courtney Knies as its community coordinator.
Her job will include building a community of entrepreneurs in Dubois County by bringing people together for open discussions that lead to new business ideas. She will also be developing programs and conferences for Current Blend and residents in the community who are seeking to become part of entrepreneurship in Dubois County.
The 29-year-old Jasper native’s last position was director of Mentors for Youth. She is a 2006 graduate of Jasper High School and has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and political science from DePauw University.
Knies joined Current Blend to work on potential business ideas.
Current Blend, which opened in 2015, is a cowork space in Huntingburg. It features modern amenities in a stylish, contemporary office atmosphere, featuring craft coffee, high-speed internet, open-concept furniture and 24-hour access for a monthly fee.
Currently, 19 entrepreneurs and businesses are members.
