Crossroads area scene of deer collision

DUBOIS — A Jasper man’s vehicle sustained damage when it collided with a deer late Wednesday night west of the Dubois Crossroads.

Merrill T. Osterman, 54, Jasper, was westbound on State Road 56 in a 2014 Lexus when the 11:30 p.m. accident occurred at County Road 400E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy reported the Osterman vehicle collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the north.

Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
