Crisis Connection Announces New Board Members

JASPER - Today, Crisis Connection Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence, announces that they have added four new members to their Board of Directors, Jason Nord, Sherril Lueken, Avery Krempp and Atalie Schroering.

Jason Nord: Jason grew up in Jasper, In and graduated from Jasper High School. He has been employed by Jasper Engines & Transmissions for 23 years and is currently the Vice President of People Services. Jason states, “Crisis Connection has been such a valuable resource and advocate to people in our communities who are affected by domestic violence and sexual violence. I've seen the positive impact Crisis Connection has had, and I’d like to help contribute to the continued success of the organization.”

Sherril Lueken: Sherril grew up in Celestine, IN and graduated from Northeast Dubois High School. She completed her college education with a major in Finance and Management from the University of Southern Indiana. She is a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and has held various leadership roles throughout her 33-year career at Kimball International, Inc.  She currently holds the position of VP, Audit Management Services and Credit & Collections. Sherril is also a member of the Board of Directors at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

Avery Krempp: Avery grew up in Jasper, IN and graduated from Jasper High School. She attended Butler University and studied Psychology before moving on to Xavier University to pursue her master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She is currently employed at Farbest Foods as an Organizational Development Specialist on their Corporate Human Resources team. Avery states, “ I am really honored to serve our communities in this way—it’s my wish to put something back into a community that gave me the world, and I am committed to work with passion to ensure Crisis Connection will be a resource and a safe haven for those who need it for years to come.“

Atalie Schroering: Atalie grew up in Dubois County and graduated from Northeast Dubois High School. She currently is a Health Occupations teacher at Jasper High School. Atalie also works PRN as a nurse in Skilled Care at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, In.

Effective September 1, 2021 the Crisis Connection Board will consist of the following members:

Sandy Smith, President; Dean Merder, Vice President; Kristi Mehringer, Treasurer

Jason Nord- Secretary; Kim Fritch; Janet Rydberg; Linda Bawel; Sherril Lueken; Avery Krempp; and Atalie Schroering.
