Credit card skimmer found at St. Anthony gas station
November 29, 2019From Local Sources
ST. ANTHONY — After receiving a tip about fraudulent activity connected to a fuel pump, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that a credit card skimming device was located on a fuel pump at the Circle A Food Mart (Fast Break), at 3969 E. State Road 64, St. Anthony.
The device may have been in place for as long as the previous 10 days or so, according to Sgt. Stuart Wilson. Anyone who has used a card at pumps at that gas station should monitor their credit/debit card closely for any fraudulent charges, he said. Those charges may or may not be from the Louisville, Kentucky, area.
If you think you have been or could be a victim, Wilson said, contact your bank immediately and take action on your affected account.
The investigation is continuing.
