Court no-show sends woman to jail on warrant

From Local Sources

JASPER — A Jasper woman who missed a court date in a misdemeanor drug case last month was booked late Friday night into the Dubois County Security Center on a failure-to-appear warrant.

Christina R. Bodkins, 41, 425 W. Sixth St., was charged March 6 of this year with misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession and possession of paraphernalia after the Jasper Police Department allegedly found her possessing marijuana and multiple items of paraphernalia Feb. 13.

The case made its way through Dubois Superior Court until, on Oct. 31, Bodkins failed to appear for a hearing and a warrant for her arrest was issued.

Authorities booked Bodkins into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:29 p.m. Friday on the active warrant.
