County's COVID-19 case count increases to 38May 8, 2020

JASPER — Dubois County's COVID-19 case count has increased to 38.
According to the Dubois County Health Department, 23 of those 38 cases have recovered.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 505 tests. Of those, 420 were negative and 35 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
Memorial Hospital’s testing is not the only COVID-19 testing happening in the county now. Another COVID-19 testing site opened at the National Guard Armory in Jasper Wednesday, a result of a partnership between the Indiana State Department of Health and OptumServe Health Services to expand testing across the state.
ISDH reported today 675 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 23,146. A total of 1,328 Hoosiers have from the virus. Another 119 probable deaths have been reported.
