County reports 9 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today nine new positive cases of COVID-19. 

Of the county’s 819 cases, 679 have recovered and 17 deaths have been reported. A total of 6,479 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 4,577 tests. Of those, 4,063 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Tuesday 971 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 89,359 cases. A total of 3,041 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 218 probable deaths have been reported.
