County reports 9 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today nine new positive COVID-19 cases.
Of the county’s 579 cases, 331 have recovered and 11 deaths have been reported. A total of 4,675 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,011 tests. Of those, 2,661 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Tuesday 809 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 63,678 cases. A total of 2,725 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 199 probable deaths have been reported.
