County reports 8 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today eight new positive COVID-19 cases.
Of the county’s 780 cases, 621 have recovered and 16 deaths have been reported. A total of 6,040 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 4,149 tests. Of those, 3,675 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Friday 1,050 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 84,317 cases. A total of 2,992 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 216 probable deaths have been reported.
