County reports 6 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today six new positive cases of COVID-19. 

Of the county’s 810 cases, 670 have recovered and 17 deaths have been reported. A total of 6,437 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 4,504 tests. Of those, 3,996 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Tuesday 841 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 88,421 cases. A total of 3,023 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 218 probable deaths have been reported.
