County reports 5 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today five new positive cases of COVID-19. 

Of the county’s 824 cases, 690 have recovered and 17 deaths have been reported. A total of 6,501 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 4,660 tests. Of those, 4,141 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Wednesday 1,164 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 90,504 cases. A total of 3,047 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 219 probable deaths have been reported.
