County reports 5 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today five new positive COVID-19 cases.

Of the county’s 713 cases, 487 have recovered and 12 deaths have been reported. A total of 5,541 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,660 tests. Of those, 3,250 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported today 671 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 76,522 cases. A total of 2,878 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 208 probable deaths have been reported.
