County reports 4 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today four new COVID-19 cases.

Of the county’s 256 cases, 213 have recovered and six deaths have been reported. A total of 2,509 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 1,541 tests. Of those, 1,359 were negative and 19 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Tuesday 331 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 42,871 cases. A total of 2,377 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 192 probable deaths have been reported.
