JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported 22 new COVID-19 cases today.
The 22 cases are cases confirmed over the weekend and today. The county health department's last case update was Friday.
The 22 cases breaks down as follows: seven cases on Saturday, five on Sunday and 10 today.
Of the county’s 319 cases, 253 have recovered and six deaths have been reported. A total of 3,435 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 2,138 tests. Of those, 1,871 were negative and 57 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Sunday 560 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 51,612 cases. A total of 2,567 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 193 probable deaths have been reported.
