County reports 2 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 cases today.

Of the county’s 290 cases, 249 have recovered and six deaths have been reported. A total of 3,207 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 1,998 tests. Of those, 1,732 were negative and 72 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Wednesday 455 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 49,063 cases. A total of 2,539 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 193 probable deaths have been reported.
