County reports 2 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department confirmed today two more positive cases of novel coronavirus, bringing the countywide total to 229 cases.

Of the 229 cases, 145 have recovered and four deaths have been reported. A total of 1,727 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 1,153 tests. Of those, 1,003 were negative and 10 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

ISDH reported today 244 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 37,623 A total of 2,135 Hoosiers have died from the virus. An additional 181 probable deaths have been reported.
