County reports 18 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today 18 new positive COVID-19 cases.

Of the county’s 676 cases, 428 have recovered and 12 deaths have been reported. A total of 5,195 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,430 tests. Of those, 3,036 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported today, 1,253 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 72,254 cases. A total of 2,821 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 202 probable deaths have been reported.
