County reports 18 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today 18 new positive COVID-19 cases.

Of the county’s 605 cases, 349 have recovered and 11 deaths have been reported. A total of 4,731 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,129 tests. Of those, 2,767 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported Thursday 970 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 65,253 cases. A total of 2,746 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 200 probable deaths have been reported.
