County reports 17 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today 17 new positive COVID-19 cases.

Of the county’s 643 cases, 375 have recovered and 12 deaths have been reported. A total of 5,027 Dubois County residents have been tested.

According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,275 tests. Of those, 2,896 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported today 836 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 69,255 cases. A total of 2,794 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 202 probable deaths have been reported.
