County reports 16 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported 16 new COVID-19 cases today.
Of the county’s 388 cases, 266 have recovered and seven deaths have been reported. A total of 3,697 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 2,368 tests. Of those, 2,118 were negative and zero are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Thursday 735 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 54,080 cases. A total of 2,602 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 193 probable deaths have been reported.
