County reports 14 new COVID-19 cases

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today 14 new positive COVID-19 cases.
The case count is cumulative of cases reporters over the holiday weekend. The case count is as follows: seven cases on Saturday, three on Sunday, three on Monday and one today.
Of the county’s 877 cases, 756 have recovered and 17 deaths have been reported. A total of 7,377 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 5,277 tests. Of those, 4,702 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Monday 596 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 100,394 cases. A total of 3,144 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 224 probable deaths have been reported.
