County reminds about early voting

From Local Sources

In-person early voting started Tuesday. As of Wednesday, 200 people had cast a ballot.

Because of changes made by the state due to the coronavirus, in-person early voting is only for a week, ending on Monday. The polling place for early voting in the county is the Dubois County Courthouse Annex, 602 Main St., Jasper.

Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday. Registered voters must bring a photo ID to cast a ballot.

Precautions are being taken to help protect voters and poll workers from the virus. Poll workers will have masks, gloves and hand sanitizer, and hand sanitizer will be available to voters.
