County records 12th COVID-19 death

JASPER — Dubois County recorded its 12th death today related to COVID-19.
The Dubois County Health Department received the information from the state late this afternoon.
"We mourn the death and extend our prayers and sympathies to the individual’s family and friends," said Dubois County Health Officer Dr. Ted Waflart. “This serves as an unfortunate reminder to all of the Dubois County community about the importance of following the recommended guidelines to stop the spread of this virus and help protect our most vulnerable neighbors. We cannot stress enough for you all to wear a mask when around others, practicing social distancing."
The county reported 18 new positive COVID-19 cases earlier today. Of the county’s 605 cases, 349 have recovered. A total of 4,731 Dubois County residents have been tested.
