County COVID-19 case count reaches 42May 9, 2020

JASPER - The Dubois County Health Department confirms that four more positive cases of novel coronavirus have been identified, bringing the countywide case count to 42.
Twenty-four of the cases have recovered.
The department advises that when celebrating Mom, this Mother’s Day, remember to social distance. Support and encourage your loved ones who are social distancing and trying their best to follow the guidelines. Call them. Text them often. Plan regular Facetime calls or online chats so that they are able to still feel connected to the people that they love. Ask them how they’re doing and if there is anything they need. Deliver meals, deliver flowers, but keep your distance to keep her safe.
Remember persons with underlying medical conditions and over the age of 60 are at high risk. Continue to be vigilant in frequent hand hygiene, stay home if you are sick, and wear a cloth face covering when in public.
