From Local Sources

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department confirms another positive COVID-19 case, bringing the countywide total to 25.

According to the department, it is working closely with the Indiana State Department of Health and local officials to ensure that contacts of the patient are identified and monitored. Anyone who may have an exposure risk, has been or is being notified about potential exposures so that appropriate infection control procedures can be followed. The patient is in isolation.

"As we look forward to the beginning week when restrictions start to ease, we must continue to use preventive measures like social distancing to help protect our more vulnerable people," a department press release states. "It is all of our responsibility to take these precautions seriously and make a strong effort to continue practicing physical distancing, performing good hygiene and wearing a cloth face covering in public when around others."
