County again reports five new COVID-19 cases
August 13, 2020JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported Thursday five new positive COVID-19 cases.
Of the county’s 718 cases, 513 have recovered and 12 deaths have been reported. A total of 5,563 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 3,717 tests. Of those, 3,302 were negative. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Thursday 1,046 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 77,565 cases. A total of 2,898 Hoosiers have died from the virus, an increase of 20 over the previous day. Another 207 probable deaths have been reported. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
