County reports 12 new COVID-19 cases from weekend

JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department reported today 12 new COVID-19 cases.
This number includes all the cases confirmed over the holiday weekend. The department had not shared a case update since Thursday.
The daily breakdown for the 12 new cases is: three new cases on Friday, two on Saturday, seven on Sunday and zero today.
Of the county’s 273 cases, 244 have recovered and six deaths have been reported. A total of 3,100 Dubois County residents have been tested.
According to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the Jasper hospital has submitted 1,834 tests. Of those, 1,622 were negative and 31 are pending. The hospital notes that a patient’s address will determine what county reports the positive case.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported today 330 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 48,331 cases. A total of 2,505 Hoosiers have died from the virus and another 193 probable deaths have been reported.
