Counties, municipalities to receive ARP funding

Governments throughout the country are waiting to learn when they will receive American Rescue Plan Act funding and how they will be allowed to use the money.

Indiana is expected to receive $5.9 billion. That includes $3.1 billion for state government, 1.3 billion for counties, $1.3 billion for municipalities and $200 million for state capital projects.

Dubois County is expected to get an estimated $8.3 million. The amounts designated for municipalities in the county are $3.28 million for Jasper, $1.29 million for Huntingburg, $470,000 for Ferdinand, $140,000 for Holland and $90,000 for Birdseye.

Funding estimates for counties surrounding Dubois are:

• Crawford: $2.05 million

• Daviess: $6.47 million

• Martin: $1.99 million

• Orange: $3.81 million

• Perry: $3.72 million

• Pike: $2.4 million

• Spencer: $3.93 million

• Warrick: $12.22 million

Funding estimates for some of the municipalities in surrounding counties are:

• Alfordsville: $20,000

• Chrisney: $100,000

• Crane: $40,000

• Dale: $310,000

• English: $130,000

• French Lick: $370,000

• Gentryville: $60,000

• Loogootee: $560,000

• Montgomery: $160,000

• Newburgh: $680,000

• Odon: $290,000

• Paoli: $760,000

• Petersburg: $480,000

• Rockport: $450,000

• Santa Claus: $500,000

• Shoals: $160,000

• Spurgeon: $40,000

• Tell City: $1.5 million

• Washington: $2.6 million

• West Baden Springs: $120,000

• Winslow: $170,000
