Corrections search brings marijuana accusation

JASPER — Police placed a Jasper man into custody Wednesday afternoon after a home search allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia present.
Derion D. Fisher, 23, 415 E. 15th St., Jasper, was on home detention through the Dubois County Community Corrections Center at the time of the 12:30 p.m. search that allegedly found marijuana and a digital scale present.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department booked Fisher into jail at 1:06 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession and possession of paraphernalia.
Community corrections staff, the Huntingburg Police Department and the Dubois County Department of Child Services assisted.
