EVANSVILLE — Police arrested two Evansville residents after making contact with them at an apartment Tuesday.
Indiana State Police responded to a Riverside Drive apartment Tuesday morning after receiving information that illegal drug activity may be occurring.
Officers arrived to find 36-year-old Margaret Gibson inside the apartment. The tenant, 37-year-old Joseph Martin, arrived a short time later.
Police and parole officers report finding 12 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, a loaded .32 caliber pistol and ammunition in the residence.
Gibson and Martin were arrested on Level 2 felony counts of dealing meth and Level 4 felony counts of possessing meth. Martin, who was already named in a parole violation warrant, was additionally charged with Level 5 felony possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
