Contestants needed for 4-H pageantsApril 1, 2020
The Dubois County 4-H Queen Committee is looking for girls interested in participating in this year’s Miss and Teen Miss 4-H Fair queen pageant on Sunday, June 28, in the Jasper High School auditorium.
Miss Dubois County contestants must be age 17 by June 1, 2020, and younger than age 22 on June 1, 2021. Teen Miss contestants must be age 14 on June 1, 2020, but not have reached age 17 on June 1, 2021.
The Junior Miss and Pre-Teen Miss pageants will be held in conjunction with the Miss and Teen Miss pageants. Junior Miss contestants should be ages 8 to 10 by June 28. Pre-Teen contestants should be ages 11 to 13 by June 28.
Miss Dubois County Queen and her runner-ups will receive monetary awards. All contestants receive gifts from local retailers.
Eligibility is not limited to 4-H members, but all contestants must attend a school in Dubois County.
Pageant applications are available on the 4-H website at extension.purdue.edu/dubois and the Dubois County 4-H Queen Contest Facebook page..
Due to CODVID-19 and the stay-at-home order from the governor, the extension office will not accept applications before May 1 at 8:30 a.m.
The deadline for Miss and Teen Miss pageants is 4 p.m. Friday, May 15. The deadline for the Junior and Pre-teen Miss pageant is Monday, June 15.
