Construction Instructions

Holland Elementary fifth-grader Emersyn Petry and fourth-grader Olivia Rasche read instructions during a meeting of the school’s robotics club Wednesday in Holland. Teacher Lindsey Sickbert started the school’s program, which is now in its second year. She said the program helps children to learn to work as a team and increase their problem-solving abilities. Once robot construction is complete, the students will eventually use the machines in competition.

Holland Elementary fifth-graders Olan Kramer and Alex Huffman laughed as they worked with fellow fifth-grader Emersyn Petry and fourth-grader Olivia Rasche, not pictured, to construct a robot.

Holland Elementary fifth-grader Ayla Ring, center, looked at instructions as she worked with fellow fifth-graders Madilyn Wright and Colton Obermeier.
