JASPER — A Saturday afternoon tip from a concerned citizen resulted in an impaired driving arrest.
The report at 4:53 p.m. indicated a pickup truck was all over the roadway and traveling at varying speeds.
Jasper Police Department officers located the 2003 Ford F-250 and stopped it in the vicinity of 23rd and Mill streets.
Police say the driver, Jacques Jinius, 37, 502 N. Geiger St., Huntingburg, had a blood alcohol content that tested .20% after a blood draw at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Police said Jinius was also found to be wanted on a federal warrant.
Authorities booked Jinius into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:20 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor operating while intoxicated counts and on the active federal fraud warrant.
A Ruxer Ford wrecker assisted.
