Complainant charged after investigation

LEAVENWORTH — Authorities pressed charges late last week against a complainant in a case opened last summer.
In August 2019, the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office and Department of Natural Resources’ law enforcement division requested that Indiana State Police investigate allegations that three conservation officers had shot and killed two dogs in Crawford County.
The dogs’ owner and the complainant was Jason F. Young of Leavenworth.
State police say the investigation concluded this February and those results were turned over to the Crawford County prosecutor.
As a result of the investigation, authorities formally charged Young on Thursday with Level 6 felony obstruction of justice and intimidation, plus misdemeanor false informing.
