Community foundation shares annual reportMarch 9, 2021

The Dubois County Community Foundation released its 2020 Report to the Public Tuesday.
The annual report shows a financial summary and provides a list of donors and endowments.
Highlights from 2020 include more than $2.2 million in grants supporting local nonprofits, including $350,000 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and more than $7.9 million in contributions, including a $4.4 million competitive grant awarded from Lilly Endowment Inc.
Assets and contribution levels in 2020 were higher than the past five years, and grant money was higher than average, as well. In addition, investment returns were higher than the past five years at 18.1%.
Some new endowments involve Mentors for Youth of Dubois County; the Ferdinand Veterans Memorial; schools across the county; and support for community mental health, child welfare and women’s issues.
