Communities share local trick-or-treat times
October 28, 2020
By Herald Staff
Halloween is Saturday and local communities have set their trick-or-treat hours. Be aware of any little monsters or princesses on the streets or sidewalks.
Trick-or-treating will be held:
• 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in Birdseye and Ferdinand.
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Holland.
• 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Jasper and Huntingburg.
The communities ask that you practice social distancing, wear masks and only go to the houses with their porch lights on.
The Indiana State Police also reminds everyone of trick-or-treating safety tips, such as carrying a flashlight or glow stick to ensure that you will be seen at all times, staying with an adult or buddy, staying on the sidewalks and out of the roads as much as possible, and having an adult inspect the candy before eating it.
