HOLLAND — The Holland Events Committee recently presented a $5,000 check to the Holland Park Board to be used toward a splash pad currently being constructed at the town park.

“Each year our goal has always been to leave the park better than we found it,” the committee said in a press release. “We hope through these gifts and our countless hours of volunteering and promoting the park amenities, the Holland community can appreciate that.”

In the last six years, the local park has always been a focus of the Holland Events Committee’s gifting, according to the news release. The park is the host site for the commitee’s largest event, the annual Holland Community Festival. The committee purchased several new picnic tables, made electrical upgrades, added security lighting, contracted the mural on the large shelter house, donated to previous windmill projects, added a driveway, and in 2019, contracted a carving that the Holland Park Board requested for the large playground.
