Collision damages van, semi

FERDINAND — A Tuesday afternoon accident at Industrial Park Road north of West Third Street in Ferdinand caused $8,000 in damage to the vehicles involved.
Michael A. Hanselman, 52, of Velpen was driving a 2000 International semi at 3:44 p.m. and was attempting to cross Industrial Park Road from the trailer parking to drive to MasterBrand Cabinet’s main plant, Ferdinand Police reported. He did not see the northbound 2014 Toyota Sienna van being driven by Arnulfo N. Dubon, 45, of Huntingburg, police said. Hanselman’s semi hit the sliding door on the driver’s side of Dubon’s van, police said.
An officer reported that Dubon’s van sustained $7,000 in damage and Hanselman’s semi sustained $1,000 in damage.
