Cleanup slated for shore of Patoka Lake

PATOKA RESERVOIR — Trash and debris will be removed from the shores of Patoka Lake between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. Sign-in begins at 8 a.m. at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Office, 4512 N. Cuzco Road South, next to the dam and spillway, with trash pickup to follow.

All participating volunteers will be rewarded with a free lunch at the Army Corps office starting at 11 a.m. Door prizes also will be awarded. Prizes may include laser tag tickets, putt putt golf, lake cruises, life jackets, T-shirts, Frisbees, rain collection barrels and prize packets.

Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy walking shoes. All supplies will be provided.
