Clark named Volunteer of the Year

JASPER — Corrine Clark has been named the 2019 Little Company of Mary (LCM) Volunteer of the Year Award recipient at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

This award is named in honor of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, the sponsors of Memorial Hospital. This is the third year for this annual award that is based on outstanding performance reflecting Memorial Hospital’s mission statement and the core values of Respect for Human Dignity, Compassionate Caring, Stewardship, Quality and Justice. Other nominees for this year’s award included Julie Beck, Corrine Clark, Donna Dickman, Ellie Eckstein, Sue Eisenhut, Flo Martin, Dennis Neukam, Dorothy Rasche, Jane Schaeffer and Adam Schwartz.

Before retirement, Clark worked in the medical offices of Dr. Tom Gootee and Dr. John Bies. Clark has been a volunteer at Memorial Hospital for the past 33 years. She volunteered in the gift shop for the first 26 years, and currently helps at the information desk and blood drives.

Clark resides in Jasper. She and her late husband, Ray, have two children, Patricia (Jim) Thyen and Rita (Darrell) Hauser, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
